From the Source

We  had a great time hearing from artists who opened their practice to be in dialogue with the audience about current works and processes in and out of the studio. We are thankful for all the artists that joined us (both presenters and audience members) in our venture to create another platform to engage. Summercamp's ProjectProject is forging ahead. Stay tuned for Open Source IV in the fall! In the meantime, check out our quicklist from Open Source III about balancing parenthood and artisthood below. And check out this webinar on the 29th at 7PM EST:

Summercamp’s ProjectProject presents Open Source III  featuring artists Jean Robison, Carly Steward, and Macha Suzuki .

Open Source is a dialogue series akin to comedians workshopping new material, bands holding residency at a small venue, or a chef testing out a recipe with close friends before putting it in the restaurant menu. It is not presented as a critique, but rather, Open Source is an intimate discussion in the Livingroom, between artist and audience about ongoing work and ideas.
Artists will be bringing artworks in progress, tests, ephemera, ideas, and questions for the audience. In addition, we will open up the floor to dialogue about balancing parenthood and artisthood. The discussion will take place on Sunday, September 21st 11AM-1:30PM at 3119 Chadwick Drive LA, CA 90032.

Because of the nature of the event we ask you to arrive promptly. Granola, yogurt, fruit and mimosas will be provided. We have limited childcare available. Please click here to RSVP to reserve a spot for your child.
